I’m Ninkame and welcome to the Hunter leveling Guide as the Hunter is one of my favorite classes. I created this soulfully to help others become faster and smarter at leveling. This way we can all enjoy the game with more fun and ease, but still be challenging. Now I have various hunter leveling tips and information in my blog that you can use to help with your leveling, there is also other pages relating to Hunter Leveling Builds and Pets. I will be adding content about PVP, and making Gold as a Hunter. Check everything out and I hope you find what you need.

#1 Hunter Leveling Guide First Tip

Here is probably the most IMPORTANT thing you can do to helping yourself LEVEL FASTER and with ease. Now you may or haven’t heard of them, but In-game Leveling Addons can really help you out with your leveling. I will be honest you do have to pay to get your hands on one, but from my experience this is the best & fastest way to level and will get you way ahead of the game. Yes it is perfectly legal with Blizzard, and there are tons of others that have them including myself. If you haven’t already learned, the fastest way to level is by questing. These guides give you a In-Game Guide & Tools that shows you the best quest route to follow for any class and level. You might not even know, but some of your friends probably are already using one. Now it’s obviously not necessary, but they definitely helped me out a lot. To help you out if your interested, I put to together a quick review of my top 2 favorite Guides. If your really into this game and want to be good at it, well this was what HELPED me get so good at WOW while having fun.

#1 Recommended Choice Dugi’s Ultimate Wow Guide

Now what I like most about Dugi’s Guide is the fact that he is so dedicated. He is frequently updating and fixing things to make his guide better. His Guide offers automatic tracking of quest history, so you can skip the quests you have already done. Also includes automatic step detection so the guide progresses in time with your character and an easy find feature for quest items that causes the item to immediately appear so you don’t have to search for it in your quest bag. It also has a In-game Talent Guide. Dugi does a great job of creating a fun and effective guide to level you to 85 in as little time possible.

#2 Zygor Guides

Zygor Guides is known as the fastest, most powerful leveling guide. Zygor Guides are used by both beginners and power players to level up because its simple and intuitive. The navigational tools on Zygor Guides are amazing and will make it quick and easy for you to get around in the game. Also has the Zygor Talent Advisor that automatically detects when you level up and tells you where to spend those talent points to make the best of them for your class. If you really just want to super power through leveling, Zygor really does a great job with creating a very automatic guide to get you to 85 lighting fast.

While leveling a hunter you might be wondering, What professions should i get or should i get any at all? Well for this Hunter Leveling Guide i will talk about some of the different professions that can be beneficial while leveling a hunter, as well as how they will effect your leveling. The main thing is to decide whether you just want to level fast as possible or would you like the ability to gain some extra bonus items on the way to help while leveling a hunter?

If you decided you want to level as fast as possible, then i would recommended that you don’t pick any professions up. They will most definitely hold you back. There aren’t needed to level fast there just a bonus mostly for higher levels. Now if you don’t mind spending a little time to gain some bonus items and gear to help with leveling, Then there is one set I would recommend.

Skinning & Leatherworking – They work together great and you don’t have to go out of your way to utilize it, since you get the materials for leatherworking by skinning the animals you kill it’s easy to level while you level! Leatherworking can be great for leveling a hunter and at high levels. It allows you to craft leather, and mail “After level 40″ which is what your hunter can wear. Also when you get leatherworking up higher you can make some bonus items that can help you as well.

First Aid – First aid is great for leveling a hunter and the nice part is it’s not time consuming to level. Since the only materials that are needed is cloth, which is easily obtained from killing monsters while leveling. While at a city getting some new abilities for your class you can stop by the first aid trainer to get the new skills. First aid will allow you to heal yourself. This is probably the best profession to get at first for leveling, can help you a lot.

Now if you decided you don’t mind spending some time leveling a profession while leveling a hunter to gain some bonus items then this is what professions i would recommend.

Mining & Engineering – Now for higher levels this can be a really fun and useful profession for leveling a hunter, allows you to make Guns, Bombs, Enhancements for your Guns, Trinkets, Goggles, Item Enchantments, and other fun things. The down side its that it can be very expensive to level and time consuming to get patterns and materials, however with mining you will be able to get one of the main materials for yourself and save you some money in the long run. That is why i don’t recommended getting this at first, it would be better to get something more useful and less time consuming while leveling like “Skinning and Leatherworking”and then at level 85 switch to Mining and Engineering.

Now if you want something that will really help you out and be fun at level 85 i definitely say go with Mining and Engineering. I hope this Hunter leveling Guide helped you understand the professions while leveling a hunter. Leveling a hunter can be fun, but professions can make it more fun.

Now that the Alliance race choices are done, here is the Horde race choices. In continuation of the Hunter Leveling Guide, here’s your leveling guide to making the best Horde Hunter Master of Beasts. Later we will do a page about the hunter leveling build.

Horde Hunter Races

Orc – The Orc overall is a great choice for a Hunter due to there blood fury, and command traits. Blood fury gives you a increase of attack power based on your level for 15 sec. While Command helps your pet do more damage by 5%. For PVP Hardiness is good for getting out of stuns faster with a 15% time reduction to stuns.

Verdict: Orcs are a really good choice for a Horde Hunter, especially for PVP as well as leveling.

Troll - Their racials are quite amazing for a hunter. Berserking gives you a 20% increase to attack speed for 10 sec. They also have Bow Specialization giving a 1% critical strike chance with bows. For PVP Regeneration allows them to alway gain 10% of their health while in combat, and with Da Voodoo Shuffle they reduce movement impairing effects by 15% ”Very Good”. Definitely a fun race for the Hunter.

Verdict: Racials are amazing, they are definitely my race of choice for looks and animations as well. A close call compared to the Orc.

Tauren - There is really nothing special about the Tauren that benefits either the Hunter class or PVP. They get an initial start of +1 Stamina, Which does nothing at level 85. But there War Stomp is a nice stun effect for PVP.

Verdict: Nothing great, But a fun race to play as, and comes with a nice stun effect for PVP. If you like cows, well here is your chance to get in the community.

Blood Elf - The pretty race. Arcane Torrent is a nice silencer for against caster’s, Can give a boost of focus when needed. They’re a good transition race for Alliance players who can’t stand playing an “ugly” race though, But watch out you might come to find your self looking in the mirror with so many other Blood Elf’s around.

Verdict: If you like the look of them, roll one. Really racials wise, you would only be picking them if you just like being a Blood Elf. Not a terrible choice, but definitely not the best.

Undead- Undead had a very good PVP Racial, however now it not as spectacular. They have Will of the Forsaken which removes sleep, fear, and charm. Now a very good racial is Cannibalize which for Hunters can be very helpful for leveling, since hunter can’t heal.

Verdict: Undead can definitely make leveling a little nicer, but don’t really offer to much to help hunter’s.

Goblin - Goblin really have some interesting racials, like Rocket Jump or Rocket Barrage. Thy also get 1% haste, and get best discounts no matter there standing with the faction. Like i said they have interesting racials, but won’t really help you as a hunter. Though they are really cool looking.

Conclusion: The quick and dirty answer is roll a Troll if you want the best Horde Hunter. But definitely the Orc and Troll are at the top. If you’re going for looks, pick whatever floats your boat, but Goblins are good. In the end, go with what works for you. I hope this Hunter Leveling guide helped you out, and check out the other Hunter leveling tips around the site.

Hunter Leveling Guide

Hey I’m Ninkkame, and welcome to my World of Warcraft Hunter leveling Guide. We’ll be exploring a variety of leveling related topics over the next few weeks like a hunter leveling spec for fast hunter leveling, and the one that i have for today is choosing a race for your Alliance Hunter. I will do Horde in another post. We’ll go over the pluses and minuses of each race with regard to both PVE and PVP. I think it is worth mentioning that you’re going to have to look at this character for the rest of his or her existence, above all you should make sure that you are building a character that you would like to look at. If you like to be masterfully powerful, then my leveling guide will point you in the right direction for making the most powerful Alliance Hunter possible. Just to make sure you know this is not a power leveling guide, but a pure level guide to leveling a hunter.

Alliance Hunter Races

Night Elf – Night Elf’s are one of the coolest races in the alliance. For the plus side you get a 2% chance to reduce melee, range, and nature spell attacks. For PVP this is a nice addition. Yet there best trait is Shadowmeld. Its actually really cool when activated you slip into the shadows, reducing the chance for enemies to detect your presence until you cancel or move. For those who have problems dieing a lot they also Transform into a wisp upon death, increasing speed by 75%, which means less downtime while leveling.

Verdict: They definitely look awesome as a Hunter. For appearance i would go with the Night Elf. PVP wise they also got a nice edge with the 2% chance to reduce melee, range and nature attacks.

Dwarf- Dwarf’s are a pretty good fit for a Hunter. They have a specialization in gun’s. Which is a good start for leveling. They also have Stoneform which is good to get rid of any disease and gives a plus 10% armor for 8 seconds. Mace specialization is great for leveling since you will be able to put out more dps with higher level stats with mace’s compared to your level. Find treasure is nice, but doesn’t benefit you unless you like finding treasure.

Verdict: Good choice to start out as for leveling. However for pvp there isnt really anything initially useful, for at level 85.

Draenei - Draenei are pretty much a tie with Night Elfs in terms of the benefit that their racials provide. The big one is obviously Gift of the Naaru. Given that the only major drawback that a Hunter has is their inability to heal themselves, it’s hard to say no to this. I’d say it’s got a much larger benefit for both PVE and PVP, it is definitely handy. In addition, you get a bonus to Jewelcrafting and some Shadow Resist, plus a 1% hit aura, which comes in handy when your level 85.

Verdict: A good choice. The Draenei do very decently in the racials department, and look awesome as a Hunter to aswell.

Humans - Humans were newly given the hunter class with cataclysm, however as far as any bonuses from there racials. Well there isn’t. Most of them relate more to melee classes, there is remove movement impairing talent, that can be useful for PVP situations.

Verdict: Nothing really to benefit a hunter, but can be nice if you like to PVP.

Worgen - Worgens i would say are really an awesome race, not just for their look, but also for their ability’s and lore. With abilitys like Darkflight (10 sec 40% Movement speed increase) ,Viciousness (1% critical Strike Chance), Flayer ( Skinning increased by 15 and 0.5 sec faster skinning) They are pretty sick. There also have the ability to change from two different forms, and get a free mount.

Verdict: I can’t resist, they have some good ability’s that make it hard to consider any other race, definitely a top choice, especially since Skinning is good for Hunter s as a Profession.

Conclusion: It’s pretty hard to go wrong with any of the Alliance races as far as Hunter’s are concerned. As far as I am concerned, Draenei and Worgens are the best choice, but the difference is not to the point that I would choose them over a race that I liked the look of better. Draenei and Night Elf’s both make very good Hunter as well, so if you’re not a min/maxer I’d say go with whatever you like best. For those of you who are straight-up number crunchers, the clear cut answer you are looking for is simple: Roll a Worgen, you won’t regret it.

In the next Hunter Leveling Guide post, we’ll cover choosing a race for Horde players. If you’re a die-hard Alliance player, don’t worry, we’ll be back to content that helps both sides shortly.
